The Nottingham Malaysian Society (NMS) is one of the most established societies under the University of Nottingham Student Union, the NMS currently consists of 350 members and is directed by a team of 8 committee members. The society mainly focuses on making their members' stay in Nottingham a memorable and enjoyable one whilst introducing the multi-cultural Malaysian community and South-East Asian culture to the locals through numerous events organised throughout the year. It is also billed with the role of promoting Nottingham to potential students from the Malaysian campus (UNMC) in Semenyih and local colleges back home.
