The French and German Society provides an opportunity for students interested in French and/or German language and culture to meet together outside of an academic setting. We have varied social events, meals out, trips, and also run a 'Year Abroad Evening' in the first Semester where language students who are going to France or Germany for part of their degree can learn from the experiences of returning linguists in an informal setting. In February 2008 we hope to run a trip to Paris after exams... watch this space for more on that!
