"Verily! In the Creation of the heavens and the earch and the alteration of night and day there are signs for those of understanding. Those who remember their Lord standing, sitting and in a lying posture and contemplating the glory in the heavens and earth (say) Oh my Lord! You have not created this in vain! Praised be thee...."

Surah Baqarah-Al-quran)

The Islamic Society

The Islamic Society has been established at the University of Bolton so that our Muslim brothers and sisters are catered for in a religious capacity. The prayer room is open and accessible to all and is situated on the M Block (Deane Road Campus) room 22.

An adequate number of Islamic books and literature is available in the prayer room for those wishing to make use of them. Islamic audio and visual items are also available. We are a FRIENDLY, OPEN AND WELCOMING Society and request all brothers and sisters to contact us if there is anything we can help them with whether it be spiritual, religious or they just want a friendly chat.

We organise a variety of activities ranging from educational and inspirational talks to fun trips out. Therefore, as a member, you are guaranteed to find something just for you.

This does not mean that we are exclusively here to serve our Muslim students. ANYONE regardless of faith can contact us if they want to know more about Islam or just want a friendly chat. We are more than happy to help.

Give your details to the Clubs and Societies Activities Co-ordinator at the Students' Union, and we will contact you.
