International Society
The International Society at the University of Bolton is the most popular society on campus with almost 300 members. It aims to bring Bolton's international students and interested UK students together in a social and recreational environment. It’s open to everyone at the university. It’s a great way of making new friends and seeing more of the North of England and the rest of the UK.
The society is run by a committee mainly consisting of students but assisted by two or three members of staff. The society maintains good links with local rotary clubs and businesses and regularly organises trips to places of cultural interest around the UK and to entertainment and social events. Recent visits include trips to the Lake District and Blackpool as well Edinburgh, Oxford and many other UK cities.
Once a year the society arranges an international evening where students are encouraged to bring along examples of their own cultures and food stuffs so that fellow students and other guests attending the event can enjoy the experience of something different.
