NUSAC is a student branch (branch no 9172) of the British Sub Aqua Club, the largest independent diving club in the world.

We offer a program of diving for every level from beginners to advances diving. Luckily we have the facilities at the University to use so have an excellent training pool (with a moveable floor!) and great lecture thatres (as you would expect).

Trips are run regularly throughout the year and vary tremendously from simple day excusions to week long expeditions all over the country. Skill development courses are also run by the club to progress your training past the initial stages and into areas that require more advanced knowledge.

We have a core of experienced instructors from Assistant Instructors up to Advanced Instructors and have links with the BSAC region to provide more advanced training.

Equipment is provided when you are just starting out- the only things you will have to invest in are a mask, fins and snorkel for your pool training, all of which can be used for the rest of your diving career (and whilst on holiday).

We have a large stock of kit and our own air compressor, all of which are available to club members free of charge.

We also have 3 boats (1 RIB and 2 inflatables) which anyone suitably qualified can use for just the cost of taking them out.

The club is run totally on a voluntary basis and we very much welcome help in any area- just contact one of the committee to offer your help and you will not only be helping the club but you will learn loads.
