Manchester Postgraduate Law Society, MPGLS, is one of the Socities in the University of Manchester. Its membership is open to all postgraduate Law Students doing Masters, MPhil or PhD degree. It aims to organise social, legal and academic events to ensure its members fully integrated and well catered for both academically and socially. It also aims to organise sporting events and trips as well as providing academic advice from senior postgraduate students who have gained experience throughout their study on similar courses. The Society is chaired by Mr. Laith Nasrawin, a PhD Candidate in Constiutional Law at the University of Manchester and a Teaching Assistant in Public Law at Manchester School of Law.
Joining the Society is quite easy, all is needed is to fill in the membership form with the contact information and the emailing address and pay the registration fee £5 (five pounds) for one academic year.
