Revelation (or simply "rev") is a network of christian-based rock-gospel choirs, where anyone can join, no matter their beliefs.

Singing rock, gospel, pop and much more besides...
Dance & Drama (not compulsory)
NO auditions, anyone can have a go at anything!
Instrument playing & conducting
Travelling around the country
Funky t-shirts, not gowns!

Rehearsals are weekly on Monday 8pm to 10pm, in Keele Chapel, on Keele University Campus.

There are no requirements for joining and there are no auditions; we have members from all levels of the university and the surrounding area. Rev is a fun an relaxed group of friends forming a choir, a band and a dance group. (Though you don't have to do all three!). Run by the choir, for the choir we welcome anyone to try their hand at conducting, singing solo, leading the dance, arranging music, playing in the band, and just about anything else!

The commonly held A&V are what govern and guide all Revelation Choirs, they are as follows:

Our Aims

To be a Christian-based Rock-Gospel choir incorporating other performing arts.
To create a choir where people can build friendships, draw out hidden abilities, and be accepted for who and what they are.
To develop this concept throughout institutions of higher education worldwide.

Our Values

Everyone in Revelation has an equal role to play, and is loved and accepted as such.
We believe that performances and concerts are a means to an end, not an end in themselves.
There are no prerequisites to joining Revelation.
Revelation is run by the group, for the group.
Freedom of choice is respected at all times.
We are all beautiful people loved by God and by each other.

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

The Revelation network started in London in 1992. In 1999 Keele Rev started out of what was the barbershop socitey, winning the coveted SU New Society of the Year Award.

Membership fees for the academic year 2007-08 are £3. There isn't a requirement to pay up-front, prospective members can attend a few rehearsals before deciding to join.
