Edinburgh University Philosophy Society deals with all things Philosophical in Edinburgh.

Weekly Events: Every Monday from 7pm we meet in the Meadow Bar, Buccleugh St, to discuss Philosophy over a pint.

Every Wednesday from 1pm, upstairs in The Meadow Bar, we host a Reading Group - a chance for an indepth analysis of a key philosophy paper.

Every Thursday we bring a Visiting Speaker to Edinburgh to present a talk on a topic of their choice. The Speakers are always hand-selected experts in their fields... Past Speakers include Prof. Kevin Warwick, Prof. Mary Midgely, Prof. Simon Blackburn and Prof. Ian Wilmut.

Lectures are every Thursday, from 6pm, in Appleton Tower. See Lecture Schedule Below.

Other Activities: We host an Academic Families System, run a Library, convene extra-cirricular seminars and reading groups, hold study support groups and create Logic Drop-in sessions...

Past events include: Plays, Poetry Nights, Balls, Zoo Trips, Beach Trips and Weekends Away.... as well as countless parties, picnics and socials... All in the name of Philosophy.

We are the largest Undergrad Philosophy Society in the UK, and the most active academic society in Edinburgh.
