Edinburgh University Cheerleading Society

The Edinburgh University Cheerleading Society, aka the Vixens, is a prominent society on campus and works closely with other societies and sports club. They regularly cheer for a variety of different sports, including basketball, American Football and hockey. They also compete in national cheerleading competitions, namely BCA's competitions in Telford and Scotcheer in Dundee.

The Vixens was established in 2004 by Adrienne Gammie and Jennifer Spittal. In February 2005 They achieved second place in the category of Best New Society in the EUSA Societies Awards. Then, two years later, in 2007, they received an award for Best Society. In recent years, the squad have begun stunting, and have competed in the Coed Cheer category at nationals, coming third in 2008 at BCA's competition in Telford.
