The Cambridge University Heraldic and Genealogical Society (C.U.H.&G.S.) was founded in its present form in 1957 being the merger of two earlier societies founded in 1950 and 1954. Its main activity is to hold speaker meetings on the subjects of heraldry and genealogy and other related subjects. The web-site at

gives a good idea of its activities over the years.
We do also enjoy a range of social activities (such as one large dinner each term) and plus some visits to sites of heraldic and genealogical interest both in and outside Cambridge.
