Cambridge University Cadenza
From StudentWiki
Cambridge's premiere a capella sensation: Cadenza is a 12-14 strong mixed a cappella group, who sing fun arrangements of pop and jazz classics that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
We sing at College bars, Garden Parties and Mayballs, and have recently entertained guests at the Cambridge Channel Challenge Launch Party (Cancer Research UK), given a concert in the South of France to raise money for a Children's Hospital, and participated in the 2006 Cambridge Battle of the Bands. Cadenza was voted "best musically" at last year's Battle of the Barbershops, and since June 2006 we have performed at Robinson, Jesus, Homerton, Catz, Clare, Trinity and St John's Mayballs!

Cadenza practice for two hours a week, either singing off sheet music or else picking up songs from CDs. We audition for new members each year, usually during the first or second week of October. So if you can sing or beatbox (!) and like a good laugh, come along and give it a go!
