Cambridge University Archimedeans

The Archimedeans, or Cambridge University Mathematical Society, was founded in 1936.
Academical events:
- Speaker meetings: Arranged fortnightly, where distinguished academics from the UK and occasionally abroad give talks suitable for all undergraduates with interest in mathematics
- Seminars for Undergraduates (SU2): Aimed to provide undergraduates with interactive seminars to give them an insight into cutting edge mathematics and what it is like to do research
Social events:
- Triennial Dinner
- Christmas Dinner (jointly with other Science Societies)
- Garden Party in May Week (jointly with other Science Societies)
- Punt Trip to Grantchester
- Problems Drives
- Croquet Match against the Invariants
Publications:
- Eureka: This annually published journal contains brief articles of interest to undergraduate mathematicians, as well as book reviews and problems taken from our annual Problems Drive
- QUARCH: A very irregularly published problems journal
Bookshop: The society offers low priced mathematical books to all members.
